Alan Hodgson

Fourth generation fishmonger, Alan, lives and breathes fish. He left school at 16 to follow in his father’s footsteps and has been in the business ever since.  Alan is married to Anne who has also been part of the team that has built up an enviable reputation as one of the leading fish merchants in the north east and beyond.  Alan’s hobbies include Scouting and all sports.

Jill Hodgson

After studying Business Management at Leeds University, Jill worked for pub chain Wetherspoon’s and was responsible for overseeing the opening of a new Wetherspoon’s in Hull and managing the operation until 2000 when she returned to Hartlepool to run the family-owned Douglas Hotel.  The pull to join the family business was too strong, however, and Jill joined Hodgson Fish in 2005 holding the position of Company Secretary and managing the accounting, Human Resources and I.T. departments.

In her spare time, Jill enjoys cooking, keeping fit and spending time with her family.

Peter Hodgson

Peter studied Business Management at Sheffield University after a gap year learning to fillet and how to select the best fish from boats catches.  Peter’s main role is purchasing fish and shellfish from around the British Isles and the rest of the world, whilst developing business growth.

Peter’s hobbies include rugby, golf and spending time with his two children.

Ian Kennedy

After working within the electrical manufacturing buisness, Ian started his own business, IK Fish, at the age of 21, concentrating upon retail, and achieving the ‘Retailer of the Year Award 2007’ in Durham. With over 30 years experience Ian joined HodgsonFish in the summer of 2016, hitting the ground running and making an immediate impact as Operations Director, specialising with product quality and customer service.

In his spare time Ian enjoys playing tennis and golf, and enjoys collecting wine.

Tony Wilson

Tony joined Hodgson Fish in 2011 as a delivery driver after 5 years his passion for selling fish accelerated and he moved to the sales team. For 7 years now as a Business Development Manager,  Tony has excelled with his competitive sales techniques and help to extend our delivery areas over to the lakes and up the coast of Northumberland. He is an all round team player but loves a challenge. In his spare time, Tony loves competing in local running events, spending time with his family and walking his two dogs
